The client wanted to organise an event at an iconic building in London where windows and light played an important role in the architecture. The Gherkin was selected as the best match and 120 single rooms had to be procured within walking distance of that location. Several hotels were identified and after an inspection trip with the client’s project manager, the list was narrowed down to one property. Our network of contacts was crucial to keep the event within budget during a year where the London Olympics had significantly increased rates across the city and depleted stock.
